So after a few weeks or months, you finally obtained an Apostille Certificate or Authentication Certificate or stamp from the competent authority. Cheers! Here are some heads-up to avoid invalidating your document. It will save you time and money.
The main principle is to keep your document as is. Once a document has been certified, apostilled, or legalized, it becomes “official” and it is crucial to keep it complete and intact just like that.
Notice#1 - Be gentle and mindful when opening your envelope. You'll be frustrated when you find your documents are destroyed due to a bad manner of opening them. Sometimes, the stickers, stamps, or grommets may get stuck on an envelope, and if you pull the document out unconsciously, those affixes may fall off or detach.
Notice#2 - Don't alter, modify, add, or cross out any content of your document.
Notice#3 - Don't remove or add any pages to your document.
Notice#4 - Different authorities may use various methods of affixing the Apostille to the document. Don't remove the staples, (multi-colored) ribbons, wax seals, impressed seals, self-adhesive stickers, grommets, etc.
For anyone who'd like to use our apostille and authentication service,
Step 1. Order the Apostille or Authentication service based on the destination country.
▶️ If the destination country is a member of the Hague Convention of 1961, it needs to get the Apostille from the Secretary of State. Once the apostille is completed, It is ready for use.
▶️ If the destination country is NOT a member of the Hague Convention of 1961, more steps are needed. Specifically, the document needs to be authenticated by the U.S. Department of State, and the embassy of that destination country which is located in Washington D.C.
Step 2. Mail us the original physical copy of your document.
Mail it to the address below for further processing (with your order#).
