Thailand now accede to the Apostille Convention

On June 30, 2026, the Kingdom of Thailand deposited its instrument of accession to the Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents (1961 Apostille Convention).
With the accession of Thailand, the 1961 Apostille Convention now has 130 Contracting Parties. It will enter into force for Thailand on February 28, 2027.
💡 Tips:
Embassy legalization is still required until the above effective date.
